Zoë Kravitz Wows in a Semi-Sheer Black Gown for Rare Date Night With Channing Tatum

The Academy Awards celebrations have commenced leading up to Hollywood’s biggest night, such as the lavish pre-Oscars party hosted by Saint Laurent yesterday evening. Among the star-studded guest list were Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum, who in addition to mingling with their peers and celebrating film achievements, used the fête as an opportunity for a rare date night.

While neither actor received any Oscar nominations this year, the engaged couple proved they could win Best Dressed Couple and Coolest Couple in Hollywood last night. Kravitz and Tatum each showed out in their sartorial best in coordinated sleek black looks.

The Big Little Lies star redefined the classic black gown in a semi-sheer dress that took our breath away. The piece featured a wide halter neckline that wrapped under each arm to create a completely open back, see-through fabric across the bust and down one leg, and a large piece of opaque fabric that wrapped around her waist to create a floor-length skirt. She let the frock do the talking by pairing it simply with matching pointed-toe pumps and diamond drop earrings. For beauty, Kravitz slicked her hair back into a neat bun and glammed up with natural, glowy makeup, complete with thin black winged eyeliner. For Tatum’s part, he looked so suave in an inky-black three-piece suit, a matching leather belt, and dress shoes.

The event was held in celebration of Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, which leads in Oscars nominations with 13. The festivities brought out an A-list crowd that included the likes of Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., Hailey Bieber, Gwyneth Paltrow, Salma Hayek, Dominic Sessa, Finneas, Olivia Wilde, and many more.

The 96th Academy Awards will take place this Sunday, March 12 at 7 p.m.
