Zoë Kravitz Proves the Perennial Power of Pigtails in New York

Summer beauty trends come and go, but Zoë Kravitz sticks to her own cool approach. Today, on set for her upcoming film, the reboot of the 2000 classic High Fidelity, the actress showed off an effortless alternative to 2019’s half-up ponies, instead recalling childhood hairstyles of yesteryear.

Stepping out in New York, the Big Little Lies star revealed a set of pigtails alongside a pair of distressed jeans. After last year’s chic pixie cut, Kravitz has been growing out her lengths, test driving goddess box braids and updos along the way.

With a glowing complexion and rose-colored pout, Kravitz bunched her center-parted plaits just behind her ears. While the season’s humidity index shows no sign of slowing down—and feels especially intense between the buildings in the Big Apple—the actress seems to have found the ultimate breezy solution for summer hair boredom.
