Good TV shows come and go, but great costume design is forever. Just take, for example, Hulu’s 2020 rom-com series High Fidelity. While the plot had enough romantic angst to keep a Tumblr blog fed for months, it was the characters’ wardrobes that have resonated with legions of fans in the years since—specifically, that of leading lady Zoë Kravitz. Viewers reveled in the eye candy that was her collection of Hawaiian shirts, vintage band T-shirts, and leather trenches—and who could ever forget her signature platform boots?

Kravitz seemed to be indulging in some High Fidelity nostalgia recently, judging from a look she recently wore to dinner with pal Ilana Glazer in New York City. She wore her revered Helmut Lang Pleasure Boots—which the onscreen fan-favorite boots were based on, down to the black leather, square toes, and chunky platforms.

Instead of a Hawaiian button-up or leather trench, Kravitz elevated the shoes with minimalist pieces from the Row, a brand that typically features in her street style. Among these items were a long black belted wool coat and a slouchy white leather purse. She tied the look together with an off-white collared blouse, black jeans, and black statement earrings from Lisa Eisner.

The Helmut Lang Pleasure Boots are unfortunately out of stock online—but no fear! We’ve generously rounded up an array of similar styles that you can shop below.

Sarah Laux, High Fidelity’s costume designer, previously talked to Harper’s Bazaar about sourcing the “completely unobtainable” boots for the series. “I can't even explain it because on some level, they’re hooves and kind of ugly,” she said, revealing that she had them knocked off by an England-based shoemaker. “But I also just love them and I think it’s because of how tight they are to the ankle, so that’s a really big piece.”
