Zendaya's Wet-Look Balmain Gown Fits Like a Second Skin

Zendaya was a sculpted vision on the red carpet of the Venice Film Festival yesterday.

The Euphoria actor attended the Dune premiere in a custom Balmain gown colored to match her own skin tone. The sleeveless gown had a round neckline, ruched detail around the waist, and a high slit that began at the star's upper thigh. The 25-year-old star also wore matching nude stiletto pumps.

Her hair was styled in a coordinated curly wet-look with a middle part, and she accessorized the look with a diamond and emerald necklace and ring from Bulgari's Magnifica high jewelry collection, per Page Six. The necklace featured a 93-carat, cabochon-cut Colombian emerald, which was nested around diamond and emerald snake.

Z and her longtime stylist, Law Roach, appear to have drawn inspiration from the original wet-look, a 19th century Italian marble statue, with the star posting an image of the artwork Undine Rising from the Fountain on her Instagram story. According to Balmain's official Instagram, the fashion house crafted the custom leather gown using an exact model of Zendaya's bust.

The Spider-Man: No Way Home actor changed into a similarly-sleek gown for the after party. Roach shared a clip of Zendaya twirling in a white double-slit gown by Dion Lee, featuring hip cutouts and a plunging neckline decorated with gold chains.

The star rocked Valentino Couture for the Dune photocall earlier in the day. She paired an oversized tuxedo jacket with a white maxi-length shirtdress styled with a long pink satin sash tied at the waist. The dress also had a hip-high slit, meaning Zendaya was free to strike her signature leg-baring red carpet pose in all three of yesterday's dresses.
