Zendaya’s Drugstore Strobing Hack Is Kind of Genius

Celebrities notoriously have used some pretty pricey products to look their best on the red carpet, and with all those cameras, who can blame them? So, you might assume that Zendaya’s award-show-worthy glow is all thanks to an expensive beauty product. But you’d be wrong. Zendaya recently opened up to Allure about her favorite drugstore beauty hack, and it’s supersmart.

Instead of opting for a product made specifically for highlighting or strobing, Zendaya actually uses shades in an eye shadow palette to get that radiant glow: “It’s weird because it’s not technically a highlighter, but CoverGirl has this TruNaked Nudes palette … There are light colors in it that are shimmery and supposed to be for your eyes, but I use them on my cheeks, down my nose, and on my Cupid’s bow,” she explains.

It’s hardly shocking that the current face of CoverGirl would find a unique way to get the most out of her favorite products (maybe one of their in-house beauty gurus gave her a tip?). Using the palette for both eye makeup and highlighting needs is a multitasking move that’s perfect for saving time and money. For Zendaya’s all-over glow, use a blush brush to apply the shimmery shades to your cheeks, and use a smaller, eye-shadow brush for areas like down your nose and on your Cupid’s bow.
