Zendaya continues her style tour throughout New York City, rocking the chicest looks from SoHo to Midtown, and of course, continues to prove that she is one of our generation’s preeminent fashion icons.

Last week, Z wore the cutest floral slip dress under a slouchy black sweater for an outing to the US Open in Queens, New York. A few days later, she gave western vibes while shopping in Lower Manhattan, wearing a fitted, tassel-adorned blazer and light-wash jeans. Seriously, the street style is unmatched.

Now, she’s done it again. While out and about in the Big Apple on September 7, the Euphoria actress rocked an edgy, yet understated, outfit that had us all running to our fall fashion mood boards to document this perfect (no, we’re not exaggerating) look. We didn’t even mention the best part yet — it consists of just one (one!) article of clothing (we’re not counting the shoes, but don’t worry, we’ll get there).

Zendaya wore a black fitted, sleeveless midi dress, featuring a scoop neckline and high leg slit, per photos published by the Daily Mail. While it looks amazing on its own, it’s also the ideal base for layering. Sure, the temps are still pretty toasty out there, but picture the cozy sweaters and oversized button-downs you could wear over the piece. Of course, we’ve found some dupes so you can add this staple to your wardrobe, just like Z.

Now, the shoes. Zendaya chose black knee-high platform boots, with subtle silver metal detailing at the top. Platform shoes are already one of the trendiest options to have in your closet (hello, just ask Kendall Jenner and Olivia Rodrigo!), and Zendaya just co-signed. Look no further, we have boot options below for you to shop ASAP.

To finalize the look, Z rocked subtle silver accessories, including stud earrings, a dainty necklace, a watch, and black sunnies. Et voila, the perfect outfit for fall.
