Zendaya Wearing a Sheet Mask With Glasses Is All of Us

Zendaya, reigning queen of relatability and preternaturally radiant skin, may make looking flawless 24/7 look easy, but she just proved that sometimes, it takes a lot of self-care — and being extremely real — to achieve that lit-from-within glow.

The Greatest Showman actor took to her Instagram Story to show the challenges of masking as a glasses wearer, which is something that no one ever seems to talk about. In an all-too-real Boomerang, Zendaya is rocking a made-for-Insta gold foil sheet mask with a pair of glasses, which keep slipping down her face. "Skincare is important... but I also gotta see the TV."

As someone who deals with this on a nightly basis, I can totally attest to the fact that Zendaya's struggle is very, very real. Wearing glasses and a sheet mask at the same time is straight up uncomfortable, and your specs wind up getting all goop-y and slipping off of your face every few seconds. But if you want to actually indulge the "Netflix" portion of your "#netflixandfacemask" sesh, then glasses are kind of a necessary addition. The most annoying part, though, can be that the whole thing can be a pretty strange look (at least on me it is — Zendaya seems to be rocking it), which can totally discourage me from sharing a masking selfie... no matter how cute the Insta-filter might be.

If you want to get in on Zendaya's gold-masking routine, we recommend OhK!'s Gold Foil Sheet Mask or Wander Beauty's eye masks for a targeted approach. (And if you want to get really fancy, you can opt for what the Victoria's Secret models use for the accessible price of $300.) But whether it's a rubber peel-off or charcoal detox formula, maybe it's time I finally start sharing my mask-and-glasses selfies too. Celebrities really are just like us, after all.
