We're all obsessed with Zendaya and Tom Holland, the Spider-Man co stars whose years-long intimate friendship evolved into a star-studded celeb romance. Despite being cosy since all the way back in 2016, the duo only confirmed their romance in 2021 after being spotted kissing in a car (the intrigue!).

And while we love these two, they like to keep the details of their romance private due to the struggles of being in the private eye. "One of the downsides of our fame is that privacy isn’t really in our control anymore," Tom told GQ last summer. "I've always been really adamant to keep my private life private, because I share so much of my life with the world anyway."

That's why, when the duo does open up about their relationship, we can't help but feel a bit giddy! Such is the case with the recent titbit shared by Zendaya, in conversation with The Sun. She admits that while she loves her British bf's accent, she does sometimes struggle with some of his London slang.

“I love the British accent, but as much as Tom tries to explain it to me, I will never understand rhyming slang," she said.

"Like I understand the concept — but what do apples and pears have to do with stairs?

"It’s cute when he tells me all the different phrases — but I really don’t get it!”

We love this candid reveal from Zendaya about the trials and tribulations of transatlantic dating - maybe Tom can get her a Cockney rhyming slang dictionary to help with translation?
