Zendaya Kicks Off 'Challengers' Press Tour in Glittering Tennis Dress

After a long delay, the Challengers press tour has officially begun, as has Zendaya's red carpet tennis fashion.

Zendaya, who is known for leaning into the themes of whatever project she's promoting in her red carpet fashion (see: her futuristic fashion for the Dune: Part Two press tour‚ for example), showed up to the film's Sydney premiere last night in a glittering custom Loewe gown, matching Loewe pumps, and Bulgari jewelry.

On Zendaya's Loewe gown was a silhouette of a tennis player, a racket, and a tennis ball, and the green color of the dress was reminiscent of a grass tennis court, like those found at Wimbledon. All-in-all, the effect of Zendaya's dress was extremely on theme for the forthcoming tennis drama. In Challengers, which is set to premiere April 26, she plays Tashi Duncan, a tennis prodigy turned coach who starts coaching her husband Art (Mike Faist), who has to play her former boyfriend Patrick (Josh O'Connor).

Loewe designer Jonathan Anderson created the costumes for the film, and Zendaya's costars Mike Faist and Josh O'Connor were also wearing Loewe suits for last night's Australia premiere:

Zendaya's unofficial promotion for Challengers began earlier this month, when she attended the finals of the Indian Wells tennis tournament in California with her boyfriend, Tom Holland. For the match, she wore a Louis Vuitton zip-up pullover and skort, and On Running sneakers designed by Rodger Federer.
