It’s always fun to learn that celebs have the same hankering for fast food that we do, whether it’s Nick Jonas’ affinity for his Jersey Mike’s masterpiece or Olivia Rodrigo’s love of an unexpected McDonald’s meal.

Now, Zendaya is in the spotlight revealing her fast-food favorite, and it’s a savory sandwich you’ve probably never thought to order at the counter before.

Surprisingly, the A-list actress and fashion icon keeps her meal preferences relatively humble. From previous interviews, we’ve learned she’s a huge fan of any breakfast involving Nutella, eating a classic cup of noodles for lunch, and ordering a takeout meal over cooking dinner (aren’t we all?). But it wasn’t until a recent Q&A that we learned her go-to in the drive-thru.

In an “Ask Me Anything” interview with Elle magazine, the actress shared the food she craves when she’s home in California.

“My favorite comfort food is In-N-Out,” she said.

It’s no surprise that the retro, California-based chain is the fast-food choice of the stars, but what might be surprising is her unique order.

Although In-N-Out is famous for its burgers, Zendaya takes her meal in a different direction, one that sticks to her vegetarian diet. But, unless you know the In-N-Out secret menu well enough, you might not even know it’s an option.

Zendaya’s In-N-Out Order

The one item Zendaya loves the most from In-N-Out isn’t actually on the menu: A grilled cheese sandwich.

Yes, you can order a grilled cheese at In-N-Out, and it’ll be: “Two slices of melted American cheese, hand-leafed lettuce, tomato, spread, with or without onions on a freshly baked bun,” per the website. But Zendaya takes things up a notch with a few additions.

“Grilled cheese, extra spread, grilled onions,” she explained. “Thank me later.”

We’ve gotta say, that does sound like a pretty top-notch order. Extra spread and grilled onions are two of the best ways to enhance In-N-Out's limited menu options. Is the celebrity-approved sandwich good enough to replace our usual Double-Double Animal Style burger order? We won’t go that far, but we will endorse it as a solid vegetarian option.

Turns out, dining like the stars doesn't require fancy restaurants or exclusive reservations after all. All you have to do is stop by the In-N-Out drive-thru for a VIP-level meal.
