  • Zendaya just gave an update about Euphoria season 2.

  • Zendaya revealed that they’re working on the show’s second season.

It must be our lucky day because Zendaya just gave us a Euphoria season 2 update. She revealed major details about the much-awaited second season of the HBO hit show, like the beautiful goddess she is. During an interview with InStyle, she got candid about many topics, including how much she misses the show.

“I do miss Rue. She’s like my little sister in a lot of ways. And going back to that character is a home base for me,” she admitted. Ugh, we miss her too. She added, “There is a beautiful second season that has been written, but in order to do it the way we want to do it, we need to wait until it’s safer.” The fact that the second season is already written is a step in the right direction. That means that (hopefully) we’ll get to watch it in the near future.

Of course, COVID-19 is causing multiple movies and TV shows to delay their releases. But there is an idea to give Euphoria fans something to watch until the premiere. “There is an idea to do a couple of bridge episodes that can be shot safely but aren’t necessarily part of season 2,” Zendaya added. “So hopefully, we will be able to do those in the coming months. I can’t wait.”

Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Barbie Ferreira, Maude Apatow, and Hunter Schafer act alongside star Zendaya. HBO confirmed the show was renewed for season 2 in July 2019. It’s been more than a year since the show’s first season, so it’s understandable that fans are hungry for more information surrounding the S2 release.

The end of the first season showed Rue relapsing after attempting to get sober. She also decided not to leave with her friend and love interest, Jules. Hunter, who plays Jules, told Entertainment Weekly what she wants to see in season 2. “I think I want to continue to see Jules work on herself in that she’s still got some major issues and to continue to dissect that and feel it out,” she said. “That’s what I want for her, although who knows how it will play out. I’m sure it will be more messy than I would hope for her.”
