Zendaya and Tom Holland (affectionately known as ‘Tomdaya’) have become one of Hollywood’s most beloved young couples, and they remain fairly private about their relationship. Fans were excited last week to get a rare update on the duo recently as the Euphoria actress, 26, shared in a new interview that she loves her 26-year-old boyfriend’s British accent.

This came after the Spider-Man: No Way Home co-stars took a romantic tour of King Henry VIII’s Hampton Court Palace while on a date in London on April 8th. The Queen Anne Boleyn Society shared photos of the stars on Instagram, after they posed with historians Tracy Borman and James Peacock while exploring the 16th century palace.

Zendaya Shares That She ‘Loves’ Boyfriend Tom Holland’s British Accent In Cute New Interview

On the same day as their date in the British capitol, an interview with the Dune star was published by The Sun. She gushed over Holland to the outlet: “I love the British accent, but as much as Tom tries to explain it to me, I will never understand rhyming slang.”

The Malcom & Marie alum added, “Like I understand the concept—but what do apples and pears have to do with stairs?” She continued, “It’s cute when he tells me all the different phrases—but I really don’t get it!”

While on their romantic outing to the Hampton Court Palace, the red carpet fashion icon and Uncharted actor looked effortlessly chic and sharp. Zendaya donned a beige wool trench coat with black buttons, a gray sweater underneath and a cozy matching scarf.

She wore her hair up in a sleek high bun and accessorized with glasses and a monogrammed brown Louis Vuitton purse. Holland opted for a navy blazer, white tee, and medium-wash blue jeans.

As Holland is British, this obviously wasn’t the couple’s first time in London, and they were spotted on another date in the city on March 27th. The two dined at Jamavar, an Indian restaurant that night, and its executive chef Surender Mohan shared a lovely pic with Zendaya and Holland on Instagram.

The Fashion Week it-girl stunned in a gray slipdress under a light brown shearling trench coat while the Devil All The Time star went for a long brown tweed blazer, a multicolored sweater over a white button-up shirt, dark brown trousers, white sneaks, and a cream knit beanie. (They’re obviously the most stylish Gen-Z couple we know!)

Zendaya And Tom Holland's Private Relationship

The two appeared to confirm their relationship in the summer of 2021 after being photographed kissing in a car by paparazzi. Since then, they have been spotted hanging with each other’s friends and families and paid homage to each other in loving IG posts and with PDA when attending events together.

In an interview with GQ months later that November, Holland opened up about wanting privacy while living in the spotlight, and how this affects his love life. "One of the downsides of our fame is that privacy isn't really in our control anymore, and a moment that you think is between two people that love each other very much is now a moment that is shared with the entire world," he told the outlet after pics of them locking lips went viral.

He added, "I've always been really adamant to keep my private life private, because I share so much of my life with the world anyway. We sort of felt robbed of our privacy." He respectfully added that he couldn't speak on his relationship without Zendaya beside him. "It's not a conversation that I can have without her," he continued. "You know, I respect her too much to say … This isn't my story. It's our story. And we'll talk about what it is when we're ready to talk about it together."

Zendaya's Sun interview also wasn't her first time praising her boyfriend publicly. In October of 2021, she sat down with InStyle and complimented his work ethic and what she liked about him. "There are many things, obviously, that I appreciate. In an actor way, I appreciate that he really loves being Spider-Man. It's a lot of pressure—you take on the role of a superhero wherever you go. To the little kid who walks by, you are Spider-Man. I think he handled that so well," she said.

She added, "Our director allowed me to come in every day [of the shoot], and it was cool to see how he cares so much about his work and making it right. I watched him do a fight scene all day, which is exhausting. He'd do a move, come back to the monitors, watch it, and say, 'I can do that better.' I'd be like, 'Dude, you got it.' But he wants us to be perfect, and I really appreciate that." She also described him as "a fun time." and "very" charismatic. "He can make anybody feel comfortable and have a good laugh and a good chat. A good chat—I sound so British," she shared. Too cute!
