If zero is empty, one is lonely, two is company, three is a crowd and four is a party *aaaaand breath*, what is five? Why, it's a trend, of course! And perfectly fronting such a trending movement at the 2024 Oscars is Zendaya with a hairstyle that got us (and seemingly everyone else, too) talking.

Late last night, Z attended the 96th Annual Academy Awards (10 March, 2024) with her classic lob hairstyle. And while it's nothing too new for the star-studded actor, its timeless, Old Hollywood feel proved popular with a number of celebs who followed in her footsteps, recreating said look.

For reference, Zendaya's hairstyle constitutes a shoulder-length cut, bounds of bounce and curl and of course, a deep-sided parting – which, we're confirming to have taken up residence alongside her left ear.

Tai Simon, Zendaya's go-to hairstylist, was the genius behind the glam hairstyle, while Ernesto Casillas created the star's flushed makeup look and Law Roach headed up fashion styling.

As mentioned, a number of celebrities who also attended the coveted awards ceremony wore their locks in a similar way.

The Color Purple star, Danielle Brooks opted to wear her tresses down and in a cropped, shoulder-length bob with added bouffant curls and a quaffed side part. Elsewhere on the red carpet, Florence Pugh flipped her face-framing fringe over to one side, making for a voluminous, textured hairstyle.

Not to mention that Sydney Sweeney and America Ferrera also added Y2K side parted twists to each of their interpretations of the bob hairstyle.

So, whether styled with a glass-like finish or in beachy waves, we can confirm that the side-parted bob (and lob) is here to stay. Chop chop, folks.
