Vanessa Hudgens was among the first to arrive on the 96th Oscars red carpet — making headlines as she revealed her pregnancy.

“I want to see the baby bump, if I may,” shouted a photographer. Hudgens obliged, turning to one side as she held her belly. “God bless you. I’m so happy for you.”

“Thank you,” Hudgens smiled, in a black floor-length gown by Vera Wang couture.

The actress, who’s expecting her first child with husband Cole Tucker, was tapped to host “The Oscars Red Carpet Show” on ABC with Julianne Hough. It was Hudgens’ third year hosting the pre-show and Hough’s first.

Amelia Dimoldenberg, the English comedian and presenter of “Chicken Shop Date” fame, was also an early arrival, as the Academy’s social media ambassador and red carpet correspondent. She had not one but two women in tow holding the train of her baby pink Gucci gown as she made her way across the carpet.

Hough was next, opting for a jumpsuit by Alexandre Vauthier couture.

“Hey Jimmy, what are you wearing?” a photographer joked to another during a momentary lull. It was a slow start. “Rangers,” the other responded. It was game day for the New York Rangers, who beat the St. Louis Blues.

Cameras flashed again for Erika Alexander, who turned heads in her voluminous Christian Siriano gown, paired with gloves. She’s among the cast of “American Fiction,” which was nominated for five Oscars including Best Picture and Best Actor in both a leading and supporting role.

Brittany Snow — matching the sunny L.A. sky — stood out in bright yellow Monot. She stars in “Red, White and Blue,” up for Best Live Action Short Film.

“Oh!” the photography pit cried out in unison. It was Liza Koshy, who had just taken a fall in her red Marchesa gown, exposing her sky-high platforms. “Don’t worry, I have my ankles insured,” said the media personality, not missing a beat. “That was so funny,” she said further down the carpet.

“Will you do me a favor? Will you take a pic?” Mario Lopez asked a photographer in the front row. He knew her personally. “Thank you, Kathy,” he said after she took the snap. “Appreciate you.”

Then came the couples: Sissy Spacek arrived with Jack Fisk; Sean Lennon with Charlotte Kemp Muhl; Brendan Fraser with Jeanne Moore; Mark Ronson with Grace Gummer, and Simu Liu with Allison Hsu.

Liu kissed his date on the forehead, prompting a unified “aw.”

The directors followed, notably Best Director nominee Justine Triet of “Anatomy of a Fall” and Celine Song of “Past Lives,” both Best Picture contenders.

“So happy to be here,” said Song, who made her directorial debut with the film.

Rita Moreno, now 92, brought laughs as she posed with a massive Oscars statue. “You and Oscar make a great couple,” she was told.

Ke Huy Quan, a winner last year, wrapped both arms around the large Oscar statue on the carpet, giving it a kiss. The statue would again prove a main character when Kirsten Dunst accidentally bumped into it, while navigating the carpet with husband Jesse Plemons.

Nicholas Cage gave his best royal wave to photographers; later, Willem Dafoe was asked to “give us a wave!” by the photo pit. “Who was it that wanted the wave?” he asked, before identifying the suspect and tossing his hand in their direction.

Ryan Gosling brought his sister, mom and dad as his dates, letting his sister adjust his custom Gucci tuxedo jacket in between photos. When someone shouted at them that they were a handsome family, Gosling replied with a wink.

“We’ve been sitting in that car for an hour and a half!” said Leslie Bibb, as her partner Sam Rockwell dashed back down the carpet to greet Regina King, who according to Bibb had recently made a shoe change.

Robert Downey Jr. appeared gobsmacked at the sight of Chris Hemsworth on the carpet, before going on to dance it up for the photographers.

Next came a rush: Greta Lee, Zendaya, Margot Robbie, Carey Mulligan, just as the official ceremony was getting underway. And with that, showtime!
