Zendaya Is a Dream in Christopher John Rogers and Armani Prive for the 2020 Emmys

From Harper's BAZAAR

Update: Zendaya became the youngest recipient ever of the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series Emmy award tonight for her standout role in HBO's Euphoria—and she brought a look to match the dramatic honor. The 24-year-old accepted her statue from home in a custom Giorgio Armani Prive gown, featuring a bejeweled bustier and polka-dot skirt, paired with Bulgari jewels. She swapped out her sleek hair from earlier in the evening for bangs and a top knot, looking every bit the star she is.

Zendaya is spending the last Sunday of summer twirling from the comfort of her own living room. Tonight's Emmys red carpet, like so many events and parties right now, is happening from home (approximately 171 separate homes, actually). But that doesn't mean that Hollywood's fashion lovers are phoning it in—even if their looks are being photographed via iPhones rather than Getty photog lenses.

For the Euphoria star's first look out—rumor has it there will be many—her stylist Law Roach filmed her doing a full 360 to show off a killer Christopher John Rogers gown, captioning the video, "If Emmy was a real girl." Roach goes on to call out all of the look's credits, from her dress by the recent CFDA Awards winner, to shoes by Christian Louboutin, and jewelry by Bulgari. The dress is a black and purple color-blocked old Hollywood inspired tulip gown, featuring an oversized obi belt in a different shade of purple than the skirt, plunging neckline, and dramatic sleeve detail. The shoes are simple black pumps featuring crystal detail, and that bold Bulgari necklace is coordinating purple stones offset with diamonds—a true sparkler. The standout look is offset by a sleek side-part bun and glimmering lilac-hued makeup, with added drama on the eye.

The 24-year old actress is nominated tonight for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series—her very first Emmy nomination. We'll be keeping an eye out for more gowns, bijoux, and living room spins to come.
