Zendaya Did Her Own Hair and Makeup, and I'm in Awe of How Perfect it Looks
We already know that Zendaya is a talented actor, singer and fashion designer. One more thing we can add to the list of things at which Zendaya is amazing? Hair and makeup artistry.
For the GQ Men of the Year Awards on Wednesday night, she took charge of her own hair and makeup, and the results were jaw-dropping. She shared a series of photos of the look to Instagram, and captioned the first post "1/3 posts coming...just a warning, I’m feelin myself lmao." In the next shot, she shared, "fun fact: I did my own h&mu tonight, hence the lipgloss still in hand." And finally, in the last post, she wrote, "ok I’m done, sorry lol."
There's no need to apologize, Zendaya — I truly can't get enough of this look.
She paired her stunning fuchsia, black, and yellow gown with makeup in the same shades, including a purple smoky eye and heavy golden highlight. She contoured her cheeks with rosy blush and finished the look with a shiny gloss in the same shade. She wore her hair slicked back into the "wet look" — a favorite of Hailey Baldwin and Shay Mitchell's — but somehow managed to keep her waves intact (sorcery, we say).
While we're still waiting for a full tutorial (Zendaya, if you're reading this, please share the deets), she did reveal on her Instagram Story that the first step in her glow-up involved prepping her skin with a sheet mask. If the whole actor-slash-singer-slash-designer-slash-all-around-amazing-human thing doesn't work out, I think Zendaya has a serious future in the beauty industry.
