If you have a “man’s man” in your life — one who fishes, hunts, and owns several mesh-backed baseball caps — chances are he also owns a similar sweatshirt to the one Zendaya sported in Paris yesterday. It’s a camouflage green crewneck with a detailed painting of a deer on it. You know the one we’re talking about.

And yes, last night, Zendaya wore this exact sweatshirt — well, kind of. Her hunting-inspired sweatshirt is a Viktor&Rolf creation that is less casual crewneck and more haute couture in the form of a ruffly, beaded cocktail dress.

It’s truly a piece you need to see to believe. Describing it does not do it justice.

The dress is from Viktor&Rolf’s Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 2016 collection, VAGABONDS. The entire collection is filled with basic pieces (like your grandad’s deer sweatshirt) embellished with tulle ruffles, quirky mismatched beads, and colorful weaving.

It’s like each piece in the collection is a DIY project on steroids. And honestly, we love it!

Zendaya posted a photo of herself rocking the ruffled sweatshirt dress with a pair of nude Louboutins. She comically captioned the pic, “Just a sweatshirt really…casual.”

Who would have thought your grandfather’s favorite sweatshirt could be so chic? In the same vein of mom jeans, ironic, outdated clothing has entered the world of haute couture. One could say it’s because these pieces are now considered vintage.

If comfy crewneck sweatshirts are becoming haute couture, we’re in! Zendaya and Viktor&Rolf might be onto something here and we like it!
