Zendaya’s Custom Loewe ‘I Told Ya’ Slogan T-Shirt From the ‘Challengers’ Movie Is Finally Available to Shop Online

Zendaya’s been acing all things tenniscore on her ‘Challengers’ press tour, stepping out in tennis ball-studded Loewe heels, pleated skirts, Wimbledon-ready gowns, and Brunello Cucinelli knits. But one of her biggest serves is a little less on-the-nose: Earlier this week, Zendaya was spotted in a Loewe shirt emblazoned with ‘I Told Ya’ — and it’s now available to shop online.

The Loewe t-shirt calls back to a similar one seen on ’90s-era John F. Kennedy Jr., who was a heavy source of inspiration for ‘Challengers’ costume designer Jonathan Anderson. “When JFK Jr. was younger, in the ‘80s and ‘90s, there was kind of an effortlessness to his wardrobe — like he could wear anything, and sex appeal would always be there,” Anderson previously told WWD. The ‘I Told Ya’ slogan has also been seen on Zendaya’s ‘Challengers’ co-star Josh O’Connor during the film’s press tour.
Decidedly Y2K-inspired — how could we forget Drew Barrymore’s ‘My Boyfriend Is Out of Town’ tee or Britney Spears’ ‘Dump Him’ top — slogan tees are the latest trend from ’90s to make a comeback. Just last year, Hailey Bieber stepped out in a white ‘Nepo Baby’ tee, while Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner, and Kim Kardashian could be seen in less ironic but similarly cheeky tees.
As for styling, Zendaya wore her Loewe ‘I Told Ya’ shirt under a trench with black trousers and Bottega Veneta mesh flats for a borrowed-from-the-boys look. As we’ve seen from celebs like Bieber and Hadid, slogan tees look equally chic teamed up with low-rise baggy jeans or tucked into pleated skirts for a more girly approach. We could also envision this Loewe tee peeking out under a structured blazer for a subtle-but-there detail on a casual Friday at the office.
