Zendaya Brings Timeless Glamour in a Valentino Ball Gown and Bulgari Diamonds at the 2022 Emmys

Zendaya got a little time away from the Dune 2 set (which is shooting in Budapest, Dubai, Jordan, and Italy) to fly to Los Angeles and attend the Emmys—and have one of her biggest fashion moments of the year. Zendaya dressed up in a black Maison Valentino gown featuring a bow belt with Bulgari jewelry. She shared her full look before she arrived at the show, writing, “I’m on my way🖤 Emmys 2022.”

She ultimately walked the red carpet solo.

The Euphoria actress is up for Best Lead Actress in a Drama series for her role as Rue in the HBO show. If she wins, it would be her second time winning that Emmy category for her role on Euphoria; she first won it in 2020.

Last October, Zendaya spoke to InStyle about playing Rue and whether or not she struggles to get out of the headspace she gets into when filming more traumatic scenes. “Sometimes it takes a while [to shake it off], but it's case-by-case,” she explained. “You can also use whatever you're going through in therapy. I let that be a catalyst or an outlet for my personal feelings or things that I'm going through. A lot of times, with Rue, I have such a deep love for her that when she's going through something, it breaks my heart. And your body doesn't know that the situation isn't real; it's absorbing those things and really going through it. It can take time for your body to come back to normal.”

She also revealed where the Emmy she won in 2020 is: “It is sitting on my mantel. I have not polished it. I don't know the proper etiquette. It lived with my mom when I was in Atlanta [filming Spider-Man: No Way Home]. When I got back it was weird to be like, ‘Hey, Mom, can I come and pick up my Emmy?’”
