Fresh from deleting every single photo on his Instagram account, including all pictures of his ex, Gigi Hadid, Zayn Malik made a return to social media to tease his new album.

Along with the date "04.12.18," Zayn posted a trailer for his next release. In the snippet, Zayn appears to the star in his own action thriller, as words like seduction, power, and greed, flash across the screen.

From frequenting casinos, to starting fights in clubs, to making out with random women, Zayn's new music appears to take his work in a brand new, much darker, direction:

And if the date on Zayn's profile is to be believed, then his new music is coming on Thursday.

Fans first thought that the former One Direction singer would be releasing new music when he wiped his entire Instagram account. Zayn deleted every single photo of his ex-girlfriend, and all of the moody Instagrams he's posted since they broke up. Taylor Swift did exactly the same thing before she dropped "Look What You Made Me Do."

Both Malik and Hadid confirmed their breakup in separate statements posted on social media. Of his relationship with the model, Zayn wrote:

"Gigi and I had an incredible meaningful, loving and fun relationship and I have a huge amount of respect and adoration for Gigi as a woman and a friend. She has such an incredible soul. I'm grateful to all of our fans for respecting this difficult decision and our privacy at this time, we wish this news could have come from us first. We love you all. xZ"
