Zayn Malik’s Poem “Morning Zoem” Sparks Fan Speculation
Zayn Malik's Instagram followers are just a little puzzled over the meaning behind Zayn's newest post — a morning zoem. Yes, that's right, the One Direction member has ventured into writing poems and shared one on Monday, January 30 with Instagram.
The poem is accompanied by an image of the singer appearing to hold what looks to be a lightsaber. Although he offered no context to the meaning behind his message, Zayn did capture the image with the words: "Morning Zoem." The brief poem touches on subjects including "iPhone likes" and meaningless aesthetics. In the poem's final lines Zayn wrote: "I think we like pretending as if our fun is never ending. No one speaks, just messages sending. It's a silent planet — wait it's pending."
Social media has since followed up with their speculation on the post. Some have praised the "zoem" and called it a "zasterpiece" while others remained confused, asking "WAIT WHAT IS THIS!! and wondering if he was in fact holding a lightsaber. A few followers have even theorized that the poem could be a sign of new material to come from the singer and that maybe this post is a hint of a tracklist or a song.
In September 2017 Zayn revealed he was working on a second album, so maybe social media is on to something and this "zoem" is just a taste of what's to come. Of course, without any official word from the singer that's just speculation, so it's best to keep your eyes on Zayn's Instagram for more clues and "zoems" in the future.
