Over the past decade, Little People, Big World fans have witnessed Zach and Tori Roloff reach exciting milestones together. The two first met in 2010 when Tori began working on Roloff Farms alongside Zach during pumpkin season. Five years later, the couple tied the knot and have come a long way since.

In May 2017, Zach and Tori welcomed their first child, Jackson Kyle Roloff, and most recently, in November 2019, a baby girl named Lilah Ray Roloff. Through it all, the young parents have been honest about their experiences, which fans can see in the latest season of LPBW.

While fans were along for the ride when Tori announced her pregnancy on Instagram in May 2019, the hit TLC show is just now giving a closer look at the growing family before Lilah was born. Reflecting on that time, Zach and Tori say they’ve since learned a lot about the changes that come with raising two children.

“When we had Jackson, he was the only one we had to pay attention to. He was our whole world when he was born and he got 95% of our attention,” Tori tells Good Housekeeping. “Then when Lilah comes along, it’s a little more difficult because you have to give 50/50. You have to give your attention to each of them … but Jackson is such a good brother. He’s made it really easy.”

Zach went on to share that he has learned to stop sweating the small stuff so much.

"[With] your first child you’re uptight, worried about every little cough,” he says. “The second time around, you’re like, ‘Okay, she’ll be fine. It’s okay to cry.’”

Tori agrees, adding that no two children are alike. “Another thing we’ve learned is you can’t necessarily take what you did with your first kid and apply it to your second kid because every child is different,” she says. “And that’s always been the case with them. We’re figuring out that they’re two completely separate kids, and we have to adjust our parenting accordingly.”

In the end, Zach and Tori hope fans feel like they’re part of their family while following along with their journey.

“We’re obviously not perfect, but we’re doing the parenting thing as best we can,” Zach says. “And when you have kids that have a disability or potentially a higher risk of having health problems, you learn how to handle that in an appropriate way, a healthy way.”

Zach continues: “We have bumps in the road, but we’re still going up. We’re still having fun.”
