From ELLE

Where in the world is Californian Zac Efron living these days? According to the Daily Mail, it may be on the other side of the globe. The outlet reports that multiple locals in Byron Bay, Australia have seen him around town.

Four days ago, influencer Tarsha Whitmore wrote on her Instagram that Efron was in Byron Bay, captioning a shot with the town geotagged, "Don’t mean to alarm anyone but Zac Efron was literally eating at the same cafe as me when this was taken 🙃" The photo was taken at Byron Bay's General Store café.

A Twitter user also wrote on June 16, "so my sister just told me that zac efron is in byron bay."

Efron hasn't posted much on his Instagram since the coronavirus pandemic started nor has he revealed where he's quarantining. But the actor did spend time in Papua New Guinea at the end of last year filming his series Killing Zac Efron. He was reportedly flown to Brisbane, Australia's St. Andrews War Memorial Hospital to be treated for contracting typhoid or a bacterial infection.

Efron did confirm reports of his hospitalization at the end of December, writing, "Very thankful to everyone who has reached out. I did get sick in Papua New Guinea but I bounced back quick and finished an amazing 3 weeks in P.N.G. I’m home for the holidays with my friends and family. Thanks for all the love and concern, see you in 2020!"

Efron last shared a photo of himself in April while promoting Discovery's Great Global Cleanup initiative for Earth Day. It's unclear when the photo was taken.
