It looks like Zac Efron is finding ways to enjoy himself during his recovery from ACL surgery. In a video he posted to his Instagram story earlier this week, the actor stripped down to his swimming trunks and danced around to ‘Ice Ice Baby’ by 90s rapper Vanilla Ice with friends in a below freezing cold cryotherapy chamber.

The choice of song couldn’t be more appropriate. In the video, Efron is wearing protective gloves, ear protectors and a mask, all of which are highly necessary as the temperature in a cryotherapy chamber plummets to -200 degrees.

Cryotherapy is used as a way of easing muscle pain, which is likely the reason for Efron’s visit; he underwent surgery earlier this year to repair a ligament in his knee which he injured while skiing.

He has since documented his healing process on social media, saying he is getting “better every day” and “taking it literally one step at a time.”

After warming up from his sub-zero shimmy in the cryotherapy chamber, Efron got suited and booted for the premiere of stoner comedy The Beach Bum, in which he stars alongside Snoop Dogg and Matthew McConaughey. A set photo of Efron did the rounds recently, when it emerged that his character Flicker’s shaved sideburns were reportedly inspired by a Panini.

The Beach Bum is out now, and Efron will next be seen playing real life serial killer Ted Bundy in the Netflix Original Film Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile, which will be released later this year.
