Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is baaaaack, and there’s a new cast member in the mix. (Miss ya already, LVP!) Garcelle Beauvais joins the group as a friend of Denise Richards, but she so much more than that.

Notice that Garcelle looks a little familiar? There’s a reason for that: She’s famous outside of the Bravo-verse. Here’s everything you need to know about Garcelle, including how she ended up on RHOBH.

Garcelle is an actress and former model.

And she's not just an "actress"—she’s legit. Garcelle has had major roles on The Jamie Foxx Show, NYPD Blue, Coming to America, Wild Wild West, and Spider-Man: Homecoming, according to IMDb.

She’s currently playing Dennis Quaid’s love interest in Netflix’s Merry Happy Whatever. She has some more roles lined up, including the TV series Tell Me a Story and Coming 2 America.

Her name actually isn’t hard to pronounce.

Garcelle’s name may look intimidating, but it’s actually pretty easy to pronounce. It’s "gar-cell boo-vey," in case you were wondering.

Garcelle was born in Haiti.

Hence the French roots of her name. When she was 7, Garcelle immigrated to the United States with her mother and sisters, per IMDb.

She’s a divorced mom of three.

Garcelle has a 28-year-old son named Oliver, who just had his first child. Check out the adorableness here:

She also has 12-year-old twins Jax and Jaid with her ex-husband, according to Bravo.

She was named one of People Magazine's "50 Most Beautiful."

This happened in 2014, and Garcelle was joined by other beauties Lupita Nyong’o, Julia Roberts, Jennifer Lawrence, Michelle Pfeiffer, Nicole Kidman, Kerry Washington, and Margot Robbie—just to name a few.

Clearly, she was in good (and gorge) company that year...

Garcelle is the first black housewife on RHOBH.

Finally, amirite? Well, not only does her official Bravo profile tout this fact, but Garcelle said she’s proud to be making history in the franchise. "I think it's about time, and I don't really know why they didn't do it before. I'm glad it's me," she told E!.

She gets along with everybody (yes, really).

Kyle Richards told Andy Cohen in an interview that Garcelle is a "great" addition to the cast. Gracelle also told Entertainment Tonight that everyone was "so nice" to her during filming. Still, she had this hilarious caveat: "I’ve never really been around a group of women that just love drama."

Garcelle has been a Real Housewives fan for years.

Garcelle has a thriving career, which kinda makes you wonder WTH she’s doing on RHOBH. E! News straight-up asked her about it, and got this response: "First of all, I've been a fan of the show. I've obviously been friends with Denise for over 20 years, friends with [Lisa] Rinna a very long time as well. So being a fan, and then when it came up, I thought immediately...My team was like, 'Oh, we're gonna pass,' and I said, 'Wait a minute, wait a minute! Let me let me sit on this for a minute.' And I thought, you know what, why not do something outside of the box, right?" And there you have it.
