YouTuber Documents All The Antics Of Keystone, Colorado's Opening Day

This week, on November 1st, Keystone Resort, Colorado, fired up its lifts for the first time this ski season.

Present during the day was content creator Lucas Cantania -- known for his in-depth ski resort vlogs -- who captured all the excitement of those first Coloradan turns.

Tune in below.

As you might expect, Keystone's offerings were pretty limited on Wednesday. Skiers rode up the River Run Gondola, lapped Schoolmaram via Montezuma  Express, and downloaded at the end of the day by returning the Gondola.

But man, watching Catania arc those turns, even if it was on a mellow groomer, kicked my brain into pre-season mode. See, during the summer, I tend to -- perhaps intentionally -- forget that skiing exists. It prevents me from frothing too hard when we're months away from the start of the ski season.

These blinders start to fall away as fall arrives, completely disintegrating when someone like Catania shares a video of a ski resort's opening day. Now, I'm ready for it.

If Catania's format speaks to you, pop over to his channel for similar videos -- he lives primarily in a van all winter and bops from resort to resort, covering conditions and otherwise exploring. In some ways, his content is the closest thing to going skiing without actually going skiing.
