YouTube star's clothing line ditches typical clothing sizes to show that 'you are more than a label'
How many times have you gone shopping and felt dispirited because the clothing size label didn’t correlate to how you really feel about your body? Or, you became frustrated because there weren’t enough (or any) options in the department store to fit your unique body shape.
Whether you’re a size 2 or 26, Nabela Noor is on a mission to prove that “you are more than a label.”
The beauty content creator recently launched a size-inclusive brand called Zeba, and it has a size chart like you’ve never seen before! Instead of the traditional clothing sizes, Noor has designed an empowering new standard where Extra Small equals “Passionate,” Large is “Fearless” and “Powerful represents 2X.
In a BUILD interview with Yahoo Lifestyle writer and host Kerry Justich, Noor said her goal with Zeba is to “figure out how we can make beauty something that includes everybody.”
She explained, “In a world that’s constantly trying to make us feel like we’re not good enough, Zeba is there to remind you that you are.”
And we think she’s off to a great start, especially with her Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful T-shirt ($25). The self-love apparel comes in a flattering hue of “Zeba Lilac,” and it’s one of Noor’s summer must-haves. “I love wearing it. I love that the sizes are inclusive. And I love the color — it makes everyone look super beautiful.”
