Remember when you thought nothing could get messier than your own life, and then James Charles and Tati Westbrook started feuding and you realized that a whole wonderful world of YouTube beauty vlogger drama awaited you? Yeah, well, James vs. Tati might be over, but YouTuber Jaclyn Hill is making headlines for all the wrong reasons: her hairy lipsticks.

But despite getting into that hairy situation (AH HA HA HA), Jaclyn is doing alright thanks to a massive YouTube following, multiple beauty collaborations with best-selling brands like Becca and Morphe, and-of course-her own sold-out-but-yikes makeup line. Her net worth, however, is surprising small compared to other beauty vloggers, so let’s jump right in to this pool of money.

But first, I’ll give you a respectful moment of silence while you mourn your own bank account:

First up, her YouTube money

Jaclyn has 5,937,060 YouTube subscribers and counting. And as we all know, the more subscribers a person has, the more humans watch their videos and the more ad revenue they stand to make from their channel.

There isn’t any specific intel about how much money Jaclyn earns from YouTube, but we can use the same metric we did during our harrowing deep dive into JoJo Siwa’s net worth: YouTuber Ryan ToysReview. On March 21, 2019, Forbes reported that Ryan’s channel had more than 18 million subscribers, bringing in a reported income of $22 million in 2018. In other words, he has about triple the number of subscribers as Jaclyn, meaning she likely makes somewhere around $7 million for her channel.

Then there’s Champagne Pop

Jaclyn is probably most well-known for being the mastermind behind Becca Cosmetics’ best-selling Champagne Pop collection. The collection is famous for its shimmery highlighters, and products tend to go for about $38. Becca sold 25,000 units of Champagne Pop within 20 minutes of its initial 2015 release (a sales record for Sephora), so yeah...fair to say it’s popular.

Unclear what percentage of that $38 Jaclyn takes home per sale, but it’s likely pretty significant since her name is on the collaboration. And keep in mind that Becca was bought by Estée Lauder for $200 million in 2017...just saying.

Plus, don’t forget about Morphe

Jaclyn’s Morphe palette sold out in less than an hour. TWICE. It costs $38 and it’s safe to assume Jaclyn pocketed the lion’s share of each sale.

And finally, there’s (woof) Jaclyn Cosmetics

Jaclyn launched her eponymous line, Jaclyn Cosmetics, last month, which included 20 lipstick colors, each retailing for $18. Everything sold out in a matter of minutes (and Jaclyn didn’t have to share the profits with anyone this time!), which is great news. The less good news is that after all the backlash, it looks like Jaclyn will have to refund a lot of unhappy fans:

So, what’s her total net worth?

Unfortunately, reliable sites that calculate net worth like Celebrity Net Worth and Forbes haven’t covered Jaclyn, and honestly...

But Elle Australia estimates her net worth is $1.5 million, which seems pretty low. Don’t get me wrong, this is approximately $1.5 million more than I have-but considering the net worths of her fellow MUA YouTubers like James Charles ($12 million) and Tati Westbrook ($6 million) and the long-standing success of her collaborations, it’s definitely on the smaller side.

That said, poor Jaclyn is probably feeling some pretty rough losses in her personal brand thanks to LIPSTICK GATE 2019. Here’s to hoping she bounces back!
