If You're Going To Use One Skin-Care Product, Make It Jeremy Allen White's Go-To

All eyes have been on Jeremy Allen White during this year’s awards circuit, and rightfully. The guy knocked it out of the park on two seasons of The Bear as well as the film The Iron Claw. (In an eight-day span these past two weeks, he took home an Emmy, Golden Globe, and Critics Choice Award for The Bear). Plus, White always looks so damn good—consistently dressed up and in his Calvins.

So, yeah, his skin is effervescent—it's the kind of radiance that turns heads. So, who is he wearing? White’s celebrity groomer, KC Fee, dropped his skin-care routine, and it turns out, the guy uses Aesop, and a GQ-favorite product: Aesop’s honey-like B Triple C Facial Balancing Gel.

B Triple C Facial Balancing Gel

$130.00, Aesop

I’ve got a handful of reasons for loving this gel, above all its ability to give skin an instant lit-from-within finish. It has a calming aloe vera base, skin-centering witch hazel, nourishing panthenol (the titular vitamin B), and magnesium ascorbyl phosphate (the titular vitamin C). Even Aesop’s former and longtime scientist told me it was her favorite product in the brand’s beloved lineup.

So why does Fee use Aesop’s B Triple C gel on White (and all of her other clients)? “It is a cooling, calming product that revives the skin and creates a beautiful step for a skin reset,” she told GQ. “Most of my clients have a lot of wear and tear on their skin from set work, being in the midst of press, or traveling all over. This product is healing and nourishing.”

And, of course, it’s not the only product she used to get him ready for the red carpet. For these awards, there was an entire skin regimen built from Aesop, outlined below. She also styled his hair with Bumble and bumble products, the regimen for which we’ll drop below the skin-care roster.

Here is how Fee preps White's skin: “I use this B Triple C gel towards the beginning of the regimen. It comes after massaging the Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Intense Serum into the skin, which is the first step. I then massage the B Triple C in. It has an unusual honey texture, so I rub a quarter-size dollop in my palms for 10 to 15 seconds to warm and emulsify the gel. When first using the product, there is usually curiosity about what it is because of the consistency. But once applied, my clients enjoy the cooling effect. It feels refreshing. Then, I allow the product to absorb and set for a few minutes as I start prepping the hair. After the hair, I return to the face and continue the skin prep with face cream, specifically, the Seeking Silence Facial Hydrator, and eye cream the Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Eye Cream.”

And here is Fee’s routine for White's signature curly coif: “First, I primed his damp hair with Bb.Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Primer. I then added Bb.Curl Reactivator throughout his hair from root to end to hydrate and give his curls a boost. Lastly, I used two quarter-sized dollops of Bb.Curl Mousse to create volume, bounce, and movement to the curls before [blow-dry] diffusing his hair about 75 percent dry. Afterward, I applied for Bb.Curl Defining Cream through his curls. When working it through, I used a scrunching and twisting motion to define the curl. To enhance the hydrated look, I added Bb.Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil for overall shine. I finished off the look by taming the sides, back, and front with high shine pomade, Semisumo.”
