Clare Crawley’s ‘Bachelorette’ Contestants Arrived At Their Filming Location Today

From Women's Health

  • Clare Crawley, 39, is still set to be The Bachelorette in 2020.

  • Reality Steve announced new details about the show's plan to film the entire season at La Quinta Resort & Club in Southern California.

  • Her suitors arrive in Palm Springs on July 8, and everyone will quarantine before filming begins.

You've all known the next Bachelorette star will be Clare Crawley for a while now. ICYMI, filming for Clare's season was delayed back in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Well, I have great news to share via Bachelor blogger and spoiler king Reality Steve: The Bachelorette will finally start shooting this month. Naturally, Steve is here to answer your burning questions with some concrete facts and real-deal spoilers. (He's baaack, folks!)

First up: Steve has all the details on when and where The Bachelorette is filming this year (it's not going to look like previous seasons, folks). He's also got the scoop on how Bachelor producers are getting creative with Clare's season and all the guys. Here's everything you need to know about Clare Crawley's season of The Bachelorette.

Filming will start later this month.

Yep, filming was supposed to begin in March, but now, Reality Steve says it will actually begin later in July. In fact, the guys all arrived on set on July 8th, per Steve's most recent Tweet.

This matches up with his previous blog post, which details how ABC would film amid the pandemic. "They are looking to film in July/Aug for 5 weeks," Steve had previously speculated.

FYI that is an expedited timeline compared to previous seasons. Usually the Bachelorette has 8 to 10 weeks to find love. That's not all QT with the contestants, there are travel days built in. Here's hoping Clare is up for a speedy courtship and some quick decisions.

Clare's entire Bachelorette season will go down in one location.

Reality Steve dropped this bombshell news back in April. "They are looking to film the entire season in ONE LOCATION. That means all dates, cocktails parties, rose ceremonies, etc would all happen in one location."

There won't be any flights, new cities, or new countries. The cast won't be stuck in The Bachelor Mansion, though. "The objective would be to find a resort (they have not secured anything yet, this is just what they’re trying to do) that would give them 100% EXCLUSIVITY to their cast and crew," Steve previously said.

That one location is a luxury golf resort in Palm Springs.

Steve just confirmed where the next Bachelorette and all her suitors will set up camp on Twitter. His latest spoiler update: "Right area, wrong resort. Clare and her guys will be filming her season exclusively at the La Quinta Resort & Club. (@LaQuintaResort) in La Quinta, CA, not the Ritz Carlton Rancho Mirage in Palm Springs."

The resort has no available reservations until Sept. 3, which lines up perfectly with Steve's timeline. It's also a pretty posh property. "This is one of the top resorts out in the desert thats held numerous golf tournaments and is the hot spot during Coachella week," per Steve.

Not to worry, there are plenty epic date opportunities at La Quinta. The resort boasts five championship golf courses, tennis, Spa La Quinta, and 41 pools. (That is not a typo, there are 41 pools around the resort for cooling off from the desert heat.) The property also offers a Joshua Tree glamping excursion. (Sounds like the perfect place to fall in love, if you ask me.)

Does that mean zero spoilers?

Don't panic, yet. Reality Steve thinks he can still get all the reali-tea. "Well, BIP is filmed at the same location every season and I’ve spoiled all 6 of those seasons, so, doesn’t seem like it’d be too much of a problem. But too early to tell."

More proof? Steve revealed the guys ETA even though ABC hasn't released an updated list of contestants since winter.

The Bachelorette will air in the fall.

Sorry folks, but you'll have to wait a few more months until Clare's episodes begin airing. According to Reality Steve: "The show would air in September." Repeat after me, patience is a virtue.

You'll know all the guys competing for Clare's heart soon.

Reality Steve knows the guys are touching down in Palm Springs, but he doesn't have the 411 on who is among the group, yet. He says the Bachelor producers have replaced some of the original group of contestants but are likely done with casting for Clare.

"Not sure you should buy ABC’s commercial about applying to be on Clare’s season. Her guys arrive in Palm Springs this week and then will be quarantined. So someone who hasn’t even applied yet isn’t getting on," per his recent Tweet.

"We will know the new cast when they release them, prob middle of July before filming begins since that’s what they’ve done the last 4 or 5 seasons. I don’t know who’s being replaced from the original 32 (obviously besides Matt James), but they are skewing older from what I have."

But, Reality Steve has low expectations for this season.

Could this be the season that makes Chris Harrison stop saying: "This will be the most dramatic season ever"? According to Reality Steve, the new plan is going to be dullsville. "5 weeks in the same location means no travel, no hometown dates, every date would be pretty boring, and there would be no public dates that get out since no one is at that location except them," he said.

The Bachelor producers are taking health precautions.

Reality Steve shared a few of the changes in place to keep everyone involved safe. "Everyone on cast and crew would be tested prior to arrival, the show would be on complete lockdown for 5 weeks of filming with no one leaving the premises."

"I’m hearing that Clare, cast, & crew will arrive in Palm Springs, CA around July 9th/10th, everyone will be quarantined for a week, then filming will begin around the 17th," per his tweet.

While you wait, get to know Clare Crawley a bit better.

She was announced as The Bachelorette on Good Morning America. Clare, who is a Bachelor Nation vet, said on Good Morning America that being chosen as The Bachelorette was "so unexpected" (SAME), but that she's really ready to find love. "The most important thing is I want a man that will take off his armor," she said. "I want a man who is strong, but is willing to take off the body armor, open himself up and be vulnerable, and I think that is some serious strength right there."

She's not focused on looks or age.

Clare also made it clear that looks aren't all that important to her. "It's all what's on the inside for me," she said. "If you line up the guys that I have dated in the past, there's no one thing I'm looking for physically. It's more, if they go out of their way for me, and they make me feel special because this is about me now, and I'm ready for it."

Clare also acknowledged that some people are hating on the fact that she's 39, but she says her age is a good thing. "A lot of people put it out there as this negative thing, but for me, it just is more years under my belt, more learning and knowing what I want, what I don't want and what I won't settle for," she said.

Clare is a Bachelor franchise vet.

When she's not on TV, Clare Crawley is a hairstylist from Sacramento, California. She's definitely no stranger to the Bachelor franchise, having finished second on Juan Pablo's season of The Bachelor. From there, Clare then went on to appear in the inaugural season of Bachelor in Paradise and Bachelor Winter Games, where she ended up in a love triangle with Benoit Beauséjour-Savard from The Bachelorette Canada and Christian Rauch from The Bachelorette Germany.

Is she kinda-sorta a random choice for the next Bachelorette? Yes. Really random? No.

What's Clare been up to since being on TV?

From the looks of her Instagram, being the quintessential California girl. Clare loves yoga, the outdoors, and her dogs—all of which basically makes her a walking ad for the Golden State. She also goes on lots of hikes and makes a mean granola bowl.

What is Clare Crawley's relationship history?

Unlike the aspiring Instagram influencers on Pilot Pete's season, it seems like Clare is looking for a real relationship after coming on different Bachelor shows multiple times hoping to find true love. She was previously engaged to Benoit Beauséjour-Savard, but they broke up about a month after Bachelor Winter Games.

Reality Steve's take:

What can I expect from Clare's Bachelorette season?

Reality Steve recently shared some clips of Clare throughout her Bachelor history, and, if she keeps to her track record, it's pretty clear that she's not going to put up with any crap from anyone.

There's this time she totally told off Juan Pablo:

And this one when she came out of "retirement" for Bachelor Winter Games:

Not to mention this time when she hilariously hung out in the hot tub with Lesley Murphy instead of meeting up with Christian Rauch on Bachelor Winter Games:

Oh, and then when she told off Christian for getting feisty about the hot tub incident:

Aaand when she told him off again:

So yeah, expect a lot of Clare Keeps It Real on the next season of The Bachelorette, eventually.
