You'll Want to Drink a Cocktail Called the Hanky Panky, We Think
While flowers and chocolates are, of course, standard on Valentine’s Day, to really impress your date, you’re going to need to get behind the bar and fix some cocktails.
To help you out, we’ve picked a few of our favorite romantic drinks, including classic and original concoctions, that you can whip up for your sweetheart no matter what else you have planned for the evening.

Hanky Panky
It doesn’t get more sultry than the Hanky Panky. The gin, sweet vermouth and Fernet-Branca tipple was created by legendary bartender Ada Coleman at London’s famed American Bar in the Savoy Hotel.

INGREDIENTS:
1.5 oz Gin
1.5 oz Sweet vermouth
2 dashes Fernet-Branca
Garnish: Orange twist
Glass: Cocktail
PREPARATION:
Add all the ingredients to a mixing glass and fill with ice. Stir, and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange twist.
My Spicy Valentine
Feeling naughty this Valentine’s Day? Then spice up the night by serving your date this drink calling for red Fresno chile pepper and Swedish vodka. Trust us, it will definitely turn up the heat!

INGREDIENTS:
2 slices Red Fresno chile pepper
1.5 oz Karlsson’s Gold Vodka
1 oz Créme de cacao
.5 oz Orange liqueur
2 oz Milk
3 dashes Chocolate bitters
Glass: Coupe
PREPARATION:
In a shaker, muddle the chile slices. Add the remaining ingredients and fill with ice. Shake, and strain into a coupe glass.

Valentine’s Day just wouldn’t be complete without a rose. But this year, switch things up by serving your loved one this tasty three-ingredient cocktail that mixes together dry vermouth, cherry brandy and raspberry syrup. It’s the perfect accompaniment to a bouquet.

2 oz French dry vermouth
1 oz Kirschwasser (cherry brandy)
1 tsp Natural raspberry syrup
Garnish: Brandied cherry
Glass: Cocktail
PREPARATION:
Add all the ingredients to a mixing glass and fill with ice. Stir, and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a brandied cherry.
