You'll Never Guess Who Makes This Glittery Liner

I'd be lying if I said Bobbi Brown's latest launch didn't shock me. From the outside, the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Liquid Liner looks like a basic, standard liquid liner that you would expect from the brand that's best known for soft, everyday shades (there's an entire library of nude shadows). However, when I brushed it on my hand for the first time, I actually gasped. For one thing, this formula is anything but basic—and it's iridescent. As a glitter enthusiast, I was already in love, and I hadn't even brushed it on my lids yet! (More on that later.) I next distracted myself for a good 15 minutes just moving my hand around to see how the shimmery liners shifted colors at different angles. And although the liner is packed with sparkles, it's anything but juvenile. Instead, the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Liquid Liner gives cat eyes a high-fashion upgrade inspired by the spring 2017 shows.

I like to think of these liners as the glittery counterpart to my favorite limited-edition Nars liners. The Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Liquid Liners may not come in matte and satin, but they have the same ease of application and staying power. And also just like the Nars one, the tip of the Bobbi Brown liner is like a paint brush, so you can create both thin and thick lines by applying more or less pressure. This makes creating the perfect flick a breeze. The craziest part of this liner is its lasting power. One Allure editor put some swatches on her hand, washed her hands multiple times, went to hot yoga, and took a shower, and the colorful lines didn't budge. Since water had nothing on the liner, she had to break out some coconut oil to help remove it. You can rub the liner over and over again—nothing will happen. The glitter won't even flake away.

The Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Liquid Liner is available in five shimmery shades: Forest Sparkle (a moss green), Golden Bronze Sparkle (a chocolate brown with gold flecks), Night Sky Sparkle (a black with purple and blue glitter), Violet Sparkle (an amethyst) and my favorite, Baltic Blue Sparkle. The midnight blue has earned me several compliments. Because I love the shade so much, I made my wings a little thicker than usual. Honestly, I had to hold myself back from applying more because I didn't want to look like I was celebrating Halloween early with eye makeup inspired by one of my favorite drag queens, Trixie Mattel.

You can buy the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Liquid Liners now at bobbibrown.com{: rel=nofollow} for $35 each. Good luck trying to pick just one shade!
