Yorkie Mom Comes up With Hilariously Unique Way to Entertain Her Pup at the Park

Being a pet owner is wonderful — they add so much to your life! But that's not to say that there aren't parts of the job that get a little...boring. Like taking your dog for a walk every darn day. Or bringing your dog to the dog park. We have to imagine that's what was going on with one woman online, who decided to get a little creative with her pup and had a hysterical result.

We'd love to see the brainstorming session that happened that lead to the woman plopping her Yorkshire Terrier in a baby swing.

We don't know when or how the dog mama learned that her pup Tank loved the park, let alone that he was a fan of the swings. But we're so thankful that she did.

As the footage shows, the Yorkie's mama at least got a chance to sit and enjoy her coffee when they were out recently. And the pup, Tank, had the time of his life too. The mom put her Yorkshire Terrier in the swing and then pulled the swing towards her using Tank's leash. She then released her pull causing the swing to sway back. And there you have it — the dog mom found a way to sit and keep her pup entertained at the same time.

"Park day!" she joked in the caption.

The video had a lot of commenters cracking up. "Could you imagine if a runner comes jogging by and doesn’t see it?" wondered one person. "Bro looks genuinely happy," someone else noted. "I love the era of doggies as children!!!" another commenter chimed in.

Games to Play with Your Dog at the Park

Playing with your dog at the park not only gives them tons of exercise, it's also an opportunity to bond with your dog and train them too. If the swings aren't really your thing, there are plenty of other fun games to play with your pup at the park.

Frisbee or fetch is a common game for a reason. Dogs love to catch and retrieve. And when you play catch, you are actually training your dog to learn how to respond to cues, how to wait, and how to release when they bring the ball back.

Another game that dogs love? Tug of war. All you need is a bit of rope and some time because your dog might not want to stop. If your dog gets too aggressive, all you need to do is drop the rope and say "no." Which is another way to train them to listen to commands.

Hide and seek can be fun for both you and your puppy. And it helps train them to listen to commands like "stay" and "go" too. Place your dog in the park and command them to stay. Then hide somewhere nearby and command them to try and find you. Just make sure your pup is ready to be off-leash before giving this one a go.

Or you could take a note out of Tank and his mama's playbook. It'll certainly get you a lot of attention at the park.
