New York Ski Resort Rebrands And Touts "Reimagined" Members-Only Experience

Today, October 2nd, Windham Mountain, New York, announced that it has rebranded to Windham Mountain Club ahead of the 2023-2024 ski season.

In addition to the name change, the resort also mentioned the opening of four new restaurants, a $70 million investment in amenities and services, and a "reimagined" private members' offering.

Private membership at Windham secures a ski valet, a seat at the members-only Windham restaurant, valet parking, and complimentary parking, among other perks.

To improve the members' experience as part of the Windham rebrand, the resort plans to renovate its golf course and clubhouse, also offering new amenities like a music venue and a Hudson River outpost. These amenities will be available to "members and lodging guests."

Windham community residents will be able to apply for community memberships in November 2023.

Despite the emphasis placed on members in the October 2nd announcement, Windham will remain a public-access ski area, with members primarily enjoying off-the-hill resort perks: "Season passes and ticket products are available to the public, and Windham Mountain Club will continue to limit overall capacity to ensure minimal lift lines and uncrowded slopes for all members and guests," the resort wrote.

Additionally, Windham has expanded automatic snowmaking to the Upper Wolverine, Lower Warpath, and Way to Go runs, alongside conducting a mechanical upgrade to the East Side Express chairlift.

"Our goal is to provide the best overall skiing and riding experience in the Northeast," says President Chip Seamans. "With uncrowded slopes for members and the public, our ski racing and development programs, and extraordinary culinary offerings, we aim to create a remarkable end-to-end experience at Windham Mountain Club."
