During an interview with Dutch celebrity news show RTL Boulevard, the mother of supermodel Gigi Hadid confirmed the news that her daughter is indeed pregnant. The outlet then shared her statement, which includes due-date details and her excitement over the upcoming bundle of joy, on its Instagram.

Yolanda claimed she was "still shocked" that Gigi's secret pregnancy leaked to the press but assured she was "so excited" to welcome her (rumored) new granddaughter to the family.

"Of course we are so excited. I'm excited to become Oma in September, especially after I lost my mom so recently. But this is the beauty of life, one soul leaves us, and a new one comes in. We feel very blessed," said Yolanda.

A source previously told Entertainment Tonight that Gigi and her boyfriend, Zayn Malik, have purposely kept the baby news under wraps but that they're overjoyed to enter this new stage of their lives together.

"Gigi has kept the secret close to her family and friends for a while, as she's only a few months along," the source told ET. "Once Gigi and Zayn got back together at the end of last year, it was like they never skipped a beat and knew what they had was special. The couple and their families are overjoyed."
