Yoann Barelli Dominates Slippery Slab On New Bike
Yoann Barelli made headlines in the past couple of months when he switched frame sponsors from Guerilla Gravity to Canadian Brand Devinci.
He has wasted no time and is already going big in his new Devinci Chainsaw. Watch him clean a wet rock slab below.
Recently, Devinci released their Chainsaw, a pedalable freeride bike. The Chainsaw is the bike of choice for Yoann and fellow steeps wizard Steve Vanderhoek. The chainsaw can be ridden with both a single and dual crown fork and is a versatile bike park weapon.
Yoann went for the big bike when the rain came down. In wet conditions, rocks get far harder to ride. What can feel like sandpaper in the dry becomes an ice skating rink.
However, if you avoid wet riding in Squamish, you will be inside for much of the year. It takes a lot of adapting to be able to ride. Thankfully coach Barelli has some good tips.
Yoann Barelli is a coach and freerider, perhaps best known for his Tour de Gnar series, in which a bunch of the best freeriders in the world hit the best features in the sea-to-sky highway. Watch the whole event below.
