Yikes, Pete Davidson Just Denied Olivia O’Brien’s Claims That They Dated

As we all know, Pete Davidson doesn’t use social media. But he did things the old-fashioned way and had his rep release a statement in response to Olivia O’Brien claiming that they dated in October 2020. In case you missed this whole thing, Olivia went on the BFFs With Dave Portnoy, Josh Richards, and Brianna Chickenfry podcast and was asked about the following Deuxmoi tip:
“I have it on good authority that Pete and Phoebe are in fact an item. He ended things with B-list pop star/influencer he had been seeing before Phoebe.”
She then confirmed that she and Pete did date, saying, “Where did you hear that? How did you hear that?…Yeah, Pete. I didn’t think that anyone knew about that, I really didn’t.…Um, yeah, we—um, that’s true. Nice guy.…He’s hot, he’s funny, and he’s sweet, he’s a really sweet guy.”
Olivia also said that things ended over text when Pete started dating Bridgerton’s Phoebe Dynevor. “That was October of 2020,” Olivia explained. “He texted me and was like, ‘I’m seeing someone else so I can’t.’…I cannot believe you guys found that, that’s really crazy, you’re the first people to ever ask me about that and I really thought that no one knew about that. Breaking news. Oh, god. Two years later.”
So, what did Pete’s rep have to say in response? Ahem: They told E! News that “there is no truth to this” and said Pete and Olivia “were friends and hung [out] a few times.”
