In this fast-paced world, we've become accustomed to getting what we want at any time of day. With just a few swipes on our phone or a quick trip to the store, we're able to get our hands on items effortlessly. Even on national holidays like Christmas, numerous stores stay open to cater to our last-minute needs. But one big retailer is shutting its doors come Christmas day, so please finish your shopping the night before.

All Target stores will be closed on Christmas Day, a representative confirmed to House Beautiful. However, customers can still continue to shop online and place orders at Target.com. Stores will be open from 7am to either 10pm or 11pm (depending on the area) on both December 24, Christmas eve and the day after Christmas, December 26.

While it's hard to imagine a world where Target is not open for a whole day (lol), it actually gives us a warm fuzzy feeling to know that all Target workers will be home with their families and not stocking shelves. If Christmas morning comes and you realized you forgot to buy something, don't beat yourself up and remember that the true meaning of holiday does not revolve around material items. There are 364 other days where Target will be there for you. Allow yourself to eat all the foods and drink all the wines this Christmas day—shopping will resume tomorrow.
