TLC has always been known for bringing us some of the most interesting reality TV shows. The network has given its viewers a glimpse into lifestyles and stories that could be considered “unconventional” by many. And this Saturday’s episode of Say Yes to the Dress might just fall into that category. This week, Say Yes to the Dress features a polygamous couple.

The famous Kleinfeld bridal salon will welcome Jennifer, her fiancé Peter, and Peter’s wife Ellen.

In an exclusive clip of the new episode, the throuple explains to consultant Debbie Asprea the nature of the relationship. After 10 years of marriage, “Ellen had some serious health issues which put a strain on their marriage,” Jennifer says.

Later in the clip, Ellen speaks up about her health issues, noting that she started suffering from Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder after the birth of her first child. A tearful Ellen goes on to say that her experience with the disorder has left her repulsed by touch and she felt it was “unfair” to her husband Peter and their marriage. Ellen said

“This [Polygamy] was something that I kind of pushed. I wanted to be sure that he was okay.”

“Truly I love both women — you need to make sure they’re cared for equally and feel that they’re appreciated and paid attention to equally,” Peter said, before cracking, “Happy wife, happy life.”

It seems like everyone is happy.

So, back to the more important question:  What will Jennifer be wearing as she walks down the aisle? The bride-to-be says she’s looking for a traditional, classy wedding gown with an A-line silhouette for under $3,000.

We’ll just have to wait and see! Say Yes to the Dress airs Saturday at 8 p.m. on TLC.
