The wait is finally over, people. Daisy Jones & The Six has made its way to Amazon Prime. Let the madness begin. For the uninitiated, the new drama series is based on Taylor Jenkins Reid’s book of the same. The story follows the meteoric rise of a band in the '70s. The group's reign is cut short after its two lead singers, Daisy Jones and Billy Dunn, fall in love. Messy! I know.
If you’re familiar with the very-real band Fleetwood Mac, you're probably wondering: is Daisy Jones & The Six based on the group's story? Well, yes—at least partially. Reid’s novel doesn’t follow the Fleetwood Mac saga exactly, but it’s close. Daisy Jones & The Six is loosely based on Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham’s tortured romance. Though the details differ in Reid's fictional tale, that mind-bending proposition upends the protagonists' lives.
