These days, any story regarding Yellowstone usually starts off with some version of the phrase "big news" or "you won't believe this"—because that's how crazy it's been for fans of the Taylor Sheridan original series lately.

Though, this time around, we do have news that's indeed big. That's because Yellowstone season 5 part 2 (aka, the final episodes of Yellowstone) will officially premiere in November 2024, according to Paramount Network. It was originally thought to return in 2023 so the new date may seem far away (a whole year, to be exact), but it's refreshing to know that things are finally beginning to move along!

This information comes after the shocking update that Kevin Costner is leaving the series, which was reported back in May. His departure was primarily due to conflicts between Yellowstone's filming schedule and his upcoming personal passion project, Horizon: An American Saga.

If you're feeling sad that Yellowstone is ending, you'll be delighted to know that this isn't necessarily goodbye. We now have more information regarding two more spinoffs in the Yellowstone universe: 1944 (name subject to change) and 2024. We told you this news was big!

"On the heels of 1883 and 1923’s success, our new planned spinoffs, 1944 and 2024, will take audiences on a thrilling, new and unexpected journey with the complex and compelling storytelling that has become a hallmark of the franchise and has helped turn it into a worldwide cultural phenomenon thanks to the creative mastermind of Taylor Sheridan," said Chris McCarthy, president and CEO of Showtime and MTV Entertainment Studios.

It's likely that 1944 will continue the Yellowstone timeline that 1883 and 1923 have generated (though, that's not confirmed), with 2024 being a continuation of the modern Yellowstone events. In a previously confirmed statement, we learned that Matthew McConaughey would star in one of the new Yellowstone spinoff shows, so there's certainly a lot to look forward to.

Well, there you have it. I guess we'll need a refresher on the Dutton family tree sooner rather than later!
