'Yellowstone' Fans Are Really Annoyed About the Show's Latest Instagram
Many fans of the hit TV show Yellowstone expected season 4 to return on June 20.
Paramount Network has confirmed that there will be a season 4 but has given no details on the date.
Yellowstone fans are getting impatient! Season 3 ended on a major cliffhanger, leaving the lives of several starring characters in the balance, and viewers cannot wait to see what happens next. Many fans believed that season 4 would premiere on June 20, 2021, and for good reason. The first three seasons began on June 20, 2018, June 19, 2019, and June 21, 2020, and Chief Joseph Ranch, where the show is filmed, even teased a June premiere date on Instagram. But June 20 came and went with no premiere — no trailer has been released, and Paramount Network has not commented on the show's return date. Some are now speculating that the show won't return until August after the Olympics.
The show's official Instagram account posted a photo on June 20 of stars Kevin Costner (John Dutton), Luke Grimes (Kayce Dutton), and Brecken Merrill (Tate Dutton), wishing their fans a happy Father's Day and celebrating Merrill's birthday. But fans were not in a celebratory mood.
The caption says, "Wishing our fans a very happy Father's Day and Brecken Merrill (aka Tate Dutton) the happiest of birthdays. #YellowstoneTV."
Fans jumped in to ask about the new season. One wrote, "JUST TELL US WHEN THE PREMIERE IS!!!!!!!!" Another expressed his disappointment: "A great fathers day gift would be Season 4 dropping today like it should have been." One fan just found out the news: "I thought season 4 was premiering tonight. Just checked and realized it's not gonna happen."
Another viewer asked for an update from Paramount Network: "We are all in major withdrawal learning it’s not starting up June 20. Guess we’ll just wait for it! An update on potential timing would be nice though."
While we're also getting impatient about season 4, at least we have seasons 1-3 to hold us over.
