'Yellowstone' Fans, Here's What to Know About Taylor Sheridan's Brand-New Show 'Landman'

As Yellowstone fans prepare to bid adieu to their favorite TV series this November, it's hard to imagine a world where creator Taylor Sheridan isn't delving into the dynamics of the Dutton family. But the TV and film producer always seems to have multiple projects in the works, so it may not come as much of a surprise that he'll soon be introducing viewers to another clan.

Back in 2022, Taylor announced he had plans to create a brand-new series for Paramount+. This led to the introduction of Landman, which is based on the Boomtown podcast and will follow the Norris family as they interact with the bigwigs working the oil rig industry in West Texas. The show not only has a great concept, but it also will feature recognizable actors who already have ties to Taylor's TV empire.

What is Landman about?

According to an official press release from Paramount in February 2022, Landman is based on the 11-part podcast Boomtown and will give a glimpse into the world of the oil rig industry in West Texas. The statement further notes Landman will feature "an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires that are fueling a boom so big it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics."

Is Landman already filming?

You bet it is!

Paramount gave fans the surprise gift in early February, revealing in a statement production was officially underway in and around Fort Worth, Texas. While there aren't many details about the plot of the series, Ali Larter (who will play Angela Norris on the show) revealed on Instagram she's taking in all the adventures the Lone Star State has to offer.

"Texas, baby!" she captioned a video featuring her son Theodore and Vivienne at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo on February 3.
