In case you were worried that Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan wouldn't have enough to keep him busy, you can relax. In addition to the mega-hit ranching drama, the Jeremy Renner-fronted Mayor of Kingstown, the Yellowstone prequel series 1883 and its new companion series 1923, and a still in-the-works Yellowstone spin-off set on the 6666 ranch, Sheridan has yet another show in the pipeline, and this one has a very unexpected star.

Originally announced under the working title Kansas City, the new Paramount+ series Tulsa King will star Sylvester Stallone. The 75 year old, perhaps best known for his Academy Award-winning 1977 film Rocky as well as a string of fan-favorite action movies, will play a modern-day East Coast mobster who is forced to relocate to Tulsa, Oklahoma after a prison stint to reestablish the mob's presence in the city.

What is the show about?

Read the show's official synopsis below:

Tulsa King follows New York mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Stallone), just after he is released from prison after 25 years and unceremoniously exiled by his boss to set up shop in Tulsa, Okla. Realizing that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind, Dwight slowly builds a “crew” from a group of unlikely characters, to help him establish a new criminal empire in a place that to him might as well be another planet.

When will Tulsa King premiere?

Today, Paramount+ announced that Tulsa King will premiere with two episodes on Sunday, November 13. The first episode will also appear in a simulcast event on Paramount Network following the season 5 premiere of Yellowstone. The second episode will appear after Yellowstone the following week, on November 20, but the rest of the season will only be available on Paramount+.

Who else is involved?

Terence Winter— known for his work on HBO hits The Sopranos and Boardwalk Empire—will serve as showrunner and writer on the show, which is currently filming in Oklahoma City.

While further details remain scant, casting announcements have revealed several names who will appear in the show including Andrea Savage (I'm Sorry), Martin Starr (Silicon Valley), Max Casella (The Tender Bar), Domenick Lombardozzi (The Irishman), Vincent Piazza (Boardwalk Empire), Jay Will (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), A.C. Peterson (Superman & Lois), and Garrett Hedlund (The United States vs. Billie Holiday).

In June, Variety revealed that Dana Delany (Tombstone, Desperate Housewives, Body of Proof) will star opposite Stallone as Margaret, the owner of a horse farm and animal preserve who holds an influential place in the city's social echelon.
