Yellow Lab With Zero Training Immediately Learns How to Bring Dad a Beer
Ahh, the dog days of summer. Days filled with time spent in the sunshine with good friends sweating in the summer heat, and nothing could be better than cracking open a cold one to quench your thirst. Especially if you don't have to fetch that cold one by yourself.
The TikTok user @Haniehowatt can appreciate this , because they basically trained this yellow Labrador to do just that with one try. Watch the following delightful video to see this smart pup in action.

What a good good good boy! TikTok users are loving this talented pup, and @Tom comments, "Mine would do and then stop halfway and drink the can!" @Jenni adds, "My lab loves beer so I don't think this would work." @Veronica says, "My lab would run and hide the second the can is in his mouth." LOL! Lots of beer loving doggos out there!
If you are interested in teaching your own dog to bring you cold ones all summer long, patience and persistence are key. Start with basic fetch training. Once they learn how to bring an object to you on demand you are ready to move on to cans. Associate the can with positive reinforcement. When they have the can in their mouth (and you may want to start this with empty cans at first!) and they give it to you, exchange the can for a treat. Practice retrieving and bringing the can: Gradually increase the distance between you and the can, encouraging your dog to bring it back to you. Each time they perform this task, reward them with a treat and praise.
Before you know it, you'll be lounging in your lawn chair and your dog will be your very own bartender. Just teach them this track with cans though. We have yet to meet a pup who can carry an entire tray of cold martinis.
