Yeehaw! Gigi Hadid Gets a Little Bit Country

Part of the fun of going to a concert is dressing up for it. Whether you’re a punk, country, or pop listener, heading to a show means you can tap into a style vibe that may not be part of your typical day-to-day. Last night in in New York City, Gigi Hadid did just that while attending a Kacey Musgraves concert along with sister Bella Hadid. Hadid mimicked Musgraves’s fashion-forward take on the country western genre, a timely look given the whole yeehaw movement in fashion. Hadid put her own spin on it, though, doing a cool, streetwear-style take on the “giddy up!” aesthetic.

To start, Hadid decked herself out in Musgraves’s merch: she wore the singer’s graphic “Happy & Sad” smiley tee, named after her song of the same name. She layered it over a long-sleeve shirt and tucked it into distressed high-waisted jeans by Re/Done. Then she added on the country accessories: a giant belt buckle and metallic blue cowboy boots. She then finished off the ensemble with piles of gold chains, as well as kitschy earrings. In her hand, she also carried a distressed leather pouch—the perfect bag to swing around during a hoedown.
