At one point Brazil's Victor Bernardo was touted as the next Filipe Toledo.

Competitively, that never panned out. After a decade of slogging it out on the Qualifying Series, Bernardo quit competing, turning instead to Matt Parker at Album surfboards to collaborate on surfboard designs that would bring out the best in his freesurfing.

And wow, has it worked.

Parker, who specializes in building twins, quads, asyms, etc, makes beautiful boards for beautiful surfing. In the edit above, Bernardo samples a few through perfect Mexican points, and his surfing has never looked better. The section starting at 4:00 sees Bernardo ride a series of waves to near perfection on a longer board that looks like an extension of his body.

It's enough that you'll want to click here and add an Album to your quiver. While they won't magically turn you into Bernardo, Parker's shapes are in demand all over the world right now for a very good reason.
