YB Loves: This Face Mist Will Give You Better Beach Waves

Each day the editors of Yahoo Beauty are sharing one noteworthy product we feel should be on your radar. From the latest and greatest items that land on our desks to indie products with a cool backstory to the old standbys that have earned a permanent place on our vanities, trust us: You’ll want to check them out.

I’m a salt spray addict. I go through roughly a bottle of my Bumble and bumble Surf Spray ($27) each month (seriously). It’s a real science to get the right amount of this magical texturizing product in your hair. Too little and your waves will go flat in just a few minutes, too much and you’ll be left with hair that feels stiff and sticky. So what can you do when you go overboard with the salt spray? Jeannie Mai, host of The Real on FOX, shared the ultimate salt spray beauty hack with us.

“Sometimes one spritz too far gets you this crunchy, stiff feel that you can’t get out until you shower, and no one has time for that,” says Mai, a fellow salt spray lover. “The Caudalie Beauty Elixir face mist ($18) is perfect for breaking up too much product in your hair. It has the just the right amount of vitamins and just a smidge of natural oil.” This face mist has already been a part of my product arsenal, mostly because I can get enough of the smell, so finding out I could use it on my hair too had me pretty excited. I immediately tested out Mai’s beauty hack and it works like a charm. When you’re done working it through you hair, spritz over your face to hydrate skin and help set your makeup. Soft waves and dewy skin — what’s not to love about that?
