YB Loves: Overnight Acne Clearing Stickers

Each day the editors of Yahoo Beauty are sharing one noteworthy product we feel should be on your radar. From the latest and greatest items that land on our desks to indie products with a cool backstory to the old standbys that have earned a permanent place on our vanities, trust us: You’ll want to check them out.

My skin doesn’t travel well. No matter how much La Mer I slather on, or how much water I drink, I always walk off the plane with irritated, blemish-ridden skin. After a recent flight to London, I arrived to my hotel, took one look in the mirror and knew I was in need of some serious skin TLC. I rummaged through my overflowing makeup bag and pulled out a sleeve of Peter Thomas Roth Acne-Clear Invisible Dots ($30). I had packed them in my bag last minute, figuring this trip was as good a time as any to cover my face in stickers.

The clear dots come in two sizes and are packed with 0.5 percent salicylic acid (a known acne fighter), tea tree oil, and hyaluronic acid. As gimmicky as it might feel to place a blemish fighting sticker on your face, it really works. I placed mine on before bed (four in total) and hit the sheets. In the morning, I had almost forgotten I had them on — they stayed in place throughout the night and since they are translucent, they blend in to skin (although I’m not ready to wear them to work, you could easily get a way with it). I carefully removed them from my spots and noticed less redness and less irritation. While some spot treatments can be quite drying, the hyaluronic acid helped to keep the area covered by the dot hydrated. If you’re looking to clear up your skin in a matter of hours, these should be at the top of your list.
