YB Loves: A Shark Week Worthy Palette

It’s that time of year again. Discovery Channel has kicked off it’s 28th Shark Week — the programming package focused on all things shark related. But even if you don’t have plans to tune in to “Shark After Dark” or “Bride of Jaws” (yes, really) you can still support the sharks with Chantecaille’s Save the Sharks Palette ($83).

This on-trend eye and cheek palette was created in collaboration with the BLOOM Association, a Hong Kong and Paris based ocean conservation group that is working to save the sharks. Over the last 40 years, several shark species have been decimated by 95%, with fisherman slaughtering up to 73 million sharks annually for the shark fin trade. The palette includes four shades: Great White, a soft beige; Grey Reef, a sandy, shimmery grey; Black Tip, a deep ocean blue, and Sea Anemonie, a golden coral for cheeks. Chantecaille will donate 5% of all proceeds from the sale of the palette to the BLOOM Association. If you ask me, it’s just as good as watching “Ninja Sharks.”
